One of my favorite movies of all time is Lost in Translation so I have decided to put it next. It is one that I will put on to watch often, just for the visual imagery and mood of the film.
I can't seem to find photos of my favorite parts, which seems to be the case with most movies on my list, so I will describe them in hopes you have seen the movie. On of my favorite scenes comes at the beginning of the film, when Bill Murray (Bob) is in the taxi cab on the way to the hotel. It is night and he is obviously jet lagged and exhausted from his journey and he is leaning his head on the window looking at the lights of Tokyo. I love the lights of the city, and the feeling that conjures up in me of our trips abroad, that feeling of excitement of being in a new place, wanting to see it, but being SO tired.
I also love the part where Scarlett Johansson (Charlotte) is walking through the garden, walking on the stepping stones, through the cherry blossoms. It is an image that I think of at night when I can't sleep to quiet my brain.
Great movie, beautiful images of a wonderful country (Japan) and funny too. Can I say how bad I want to stay at that hotel? I even looked it up, $500/night US$, way beyond my price range, but maybe...someday. Enjoy!

i love, love, love this movie. excellent pick!
