sewinsight: 6 things

Okay, here we go. Kirsten and Leslie were kind enough to tag me to reveal 6 facts about myself and I have been mulling it over and not coming up with much. Leslie suggested stream of consciousness, I will give it a try.

Mornings - if I have to be up, I really love that early morning time as the sun is rising and all is quiet. I did ski school in high school and used to have to walk up the street (we lived a block and a half away) in my gear carrying my skis at 6am, but it was so quiet and I loved it.
Superstitious - I never used to be, but then married a Filipino who's culture is steeped in superstitions and now I find that I am a little. I have a little night time routine I have to follow or I don't sleep well, that involves reading and for some reason I have this thing about the bookmark being in the book right side up when I put the book away, no one knew that and now you all do :)
Adventure - I am not inherently a very adventurous person, I do play it very safe, but did go skydiving once (Royal and I went together early on in our relationship) and I loved it. I really had no qualms about letting go of that wing support.
Like Leslie, I talk fast. It bugs some people I am sure, but I think fast and my brain jumps around. Royal often says he can hardly keep up with my train of thought. Learning to slow and listen better, that's what I am working on. For sure.
I do like good food, don't get me wrong, but sometimes, many times, if I could just go without eating I would like it. I have a hard time stopping and dealing with all that goes into meal prep, especially when it is just me, alone for lunch on a work day. Can you say PB&J and an apple?
Strange but true, and because I can't think of anything else. When I was a baby we lived in Toronto and Victor Garber (of the TV show Alias and the movie Titanic among others) was our next door neighbor. He was friends with my parents and hung out over at our apartment, reportedly he gave me my first cold when he gave me a kiss as a baby. (this was back in his Godspell days, see below)

that was fun. reading your list. i liked the bookmark thing. i do a few little things like that, too. and i totally get the talking fast. and trains of thought. i, too, have learned to slow down. it's a good thing.
